Associate of Applied Science

The 六合论坛 Equine Program is designed to prepare students for careers in the equine industry. Students supplement their classroom learning with extensive hands-on experience as they are involved with the daily management of the college鈥檚 60-acre facility with nearly 50 horses at the 六合论坛 Equine Unit. Students gain experience with broodmares and foaling, handling and collecting the farm stallion, and the artificial insemination process. We proudly own numerous finished show horses used in our horsemanship courses and by the 六合论坛 Equestrian Team. Young horses born at the 六合论坛 Equine Unit are started by students in the Equine Program. Students also learn the basics of equine health, genetics, nutrition, reproduction, training, equine event planning, conformation and judging, equine business, and barn management.

In addition to the required coursework, students have the opportunity to enhance their skills through additional Ag and Equine elective courses.
